Human resource management is a process of bringing people and organisations together so that the goals of each other are met. The role of the HR department is shifting from an administrative role to become a strategic business partner within the organisation. Their roles and responsibilities are now more critical than ever during this economic downturn due to the dynamic nature of humans.
As the global environment becomes less predictable whilst budgets are being minimised, cash flows being frozen and a downsizing of the workforce, HR faces extraordinary demands to be effective, efficient and, most importantly, agile enough to address changing organisational and business realities. The next generation of HR professionals must have the knowledge of the business, render support for the strategy and have the ability to set the standards for an organisation to be a leader in an industry. It is up to HR to provide strategically aligned, competent leaders as without good leadership, quality will take a back seat and clients will take their business elsewhere.
We now live in a world where the jobs, the job requirements and the organisations are constantly changing – acquisitions, divestitures, downsizing, mergers, and technology changes. The challenge for HR professionals globally is to figure out how to look deep into the organisation to find talented, visionary people with a passion for the future.
People management is never an easy task compared to any other type of management especially during such challenging times.
Join us for this 3 day event which will focus on the development of HR through various plenary sessions, real-world case studies and roundtable discussions, where key industry leaders will deliver perspectives of great diversities within in the HR industry. It will address the key drivers in attracting the right talent from a market of scarce talent and stiff competition. Monetary and non-monetary strategies in winning the ‘Talent War’ will nevertheless be discussed in the conference. It not only takes the HR department to build an ideal work environment, cultivating and retaining talents but the involvement of the whole organisation and the supporting technologies to pave the way forward in these challenging economic times.
